Technology

Image
In Te Ngahere we have been doing technology. Our group have been making a plan to build a coat rack out of pallets. The maximum pieces of wood we can use is four. Mr Lindsay will help us get the supplies and help us build. When we finish our projects we are going to sell them so we can fundraise for our camp. My group enjoyed making the plan. We could do better by making our plan more simple.

Disco

Paihia School is hosting a disco in our Paihia School whare on Thursday 9th of August 2018. It’s $2 to get in but lollies cost $1 and drinks $1 as well. Glow toys are $ 2-3 and American Hotdogs are $3. The junior kids (y1-y4) disco will happen at 5.30pm-6.30pm and seniors (y5-y8) will happen at 6.45pm-7.45pm. Prizes will be given out and there will be some awesome music.  Just a quick little disclaimer, only Paihia School students are allowed in.

Drink Healthy

In Te Ngahere, we have been learning to drink healthy. Whaea Gina came in to teach us about what sugar can do to us and what are good, or bad drinks. Whaea Gina brought different types of drinks like energy drinks, fizzy drinks and juices. Whaea Gina made this idea up to help us learn how bad the drinks are. There were 3 pieces of laminated paper. They were green, red and orange. Red means once a month, orange was once a week, and green everyday.. We put each drink onto the coloured cards to show which ones we can have everyday like water and milk. Once a week we can have chocolate milk and juice. Powerade is only for when we need energy for a big sporting event or we are sick.
